What a pleasure it has been to receive thoughts and advice from so many parents as I worked on the current update. Much about the world seems different from 20 years ago -- having a web page for instance! New thoughts and new research proved stimulating and challenging. At the same time it has been reassuring when questions and experiences shared by parents have reminded me that toddlers themselves don't change much from one generation to the next. We've got more experience with nursing toddlers than we did when I first wrote MYNT to help me deal with my own nurslings (all of whom, by the way, are now healthy adults who are gainfully employed and treat me kindly. They have even made me a grandmother!)
You are welcome to explore these pages. Perhaps you will find something of use here, something of interest, or something with which you disagree.
I still invite your comments. Although I cannot reply, I will read every one. I hope you will feel inspired to add, contradict, answer people's questions, or whatever response to the material you think is appropriate. From time to time I will add excerpts from e-mail to these pages.
The material included here is a rough compilation of what has come in. I have posted "raw data" without much editing -- like "letters to the editor." I don't guarantee that the material posted is the best information or advice available. I do regard it as worth thinking about.
