There is a lot written about women who don't lose all of their pregnancy weight but not about those of us who fall below and stay below our pre-pregnancy weight. I was told that until I stop breastfeeding, it is likely I will remain at this weight (which is 7 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight and is too thin!) It would be reassuring to us breastfeeding women who are concerned about this weight loss. Also, that we may need to adjust our exercise so it is less frequent and/or strenuous than our routines before we were pregnant.

I too have experienced this weight loss! I gained 60 lbs during pregnancy over a normal weight. I have since lost more than 80 lbs and am feeling way too thin! I do eat as much as I can and limit exercise to try to put a few pounds on. My husband and I are looking forward to me getting pregnant again once my fertility resumes just so I can gain some weight!! I am still trying to put some weight on in the hopes that it won't impede returning fertility. I'd like to continue nursing through the pregnancy if my daughter and I still want to and hopefully tandem nurse - will this create more problems with my weight loss? I would appreciate any first-hand experience!
